The First Directive - Paperback

For nearly three centuries, a hidden system has quietly shaped the balance of power across the world.

In 1754, a secret council of Enlightenment philosophers and diplomats created an invisible network known as the Directives-seven guardians hidden within the great capitals of Europe. Their mission was simple: watch governments, collect secrets, and prevent any single ruler from gaining absolute power.

The system survived revolutions, empires, and world wars.

Until now.

When historian Daniel Mercer uncovers a forgotten document beneath the archives of Paris, he accidentally triggers a race for control of the ancient system. With investigative journalist Emily Carter at his side, Mercer follows a trail of hidden directives across Europe-from the catacombs of Paris to the crypts of London and the ancient power centers of Rome.

But they are not alone.

A mysterious figure known only as The Director is hunting the same secrets-and he intends to seize every directive and use the system to reshape the world.

As Mercer and Carter uncover the truth behind the Watchers, the secret guardians of the directives, they realize the architects of history left behind more than a warning.

They left behind a system powerful enough to control nations.

And in the wrong hands...

It could control the future of the world.
