Upton Sinclair's The Fasting Cure describes his extensive personal experience and that of others with the challenges and health and curative benefits of fasting. The Fasting Cure is both instructive and (occasionally) amusing and includes several cancer healing testimonials attributed to fasting. Note however that The Fasting Cure was written over 100 years ago, i.e. decades before environmental, chemical & radiation pollution started to become major problems (particularly but not exclusively) throughout the westernized world and to pose new health burdens on the human body.
