The Epistle of Jude presents one of the briefest yet most forceful texts of the New Testament in the enduring language of the King James Version.
Traditionally attributed to Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, this short epistle addresses the early Christian community with urgency and moral clarity. It calls upon believers to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered, warning against corruption, false teaching, and spiritual complacency. Drawing upon examples from Israel's history, angelic rebellion, and the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah, the text situates present conduct within a larger moral and theological order.
Rendered in the measured and resonant prose of the 1611 King James translation, the epistle's compact structure carries unusual intensity. Its language has shaped centuries of preaching, theological reflection, and devotional reading. Though concise in length, Jude remains weighty in tone-combining admonition with doxology, severity with hope.
Presented here as a standalone volume, this edition invites attentive reading of a text whose brevity belies its theological depth.
