Father Andrzej "Andrew" Woznicki (1931-2014) served the people of the Polish Diaspora living in the San Francisco Bay Area as a chaplain, editor of a quarterly multicultural scholarly journal, and Professor of Philosophy at the University of San Francisco from 1967 until his retirement in 1997. In 2011, he returned to the Society of Christ motherhouse in Poland.
Fr. Woznicki authored more than ten books and numerous articles covering topics ranging from multicultural and socioreligious immigrant issues, St. John Paul II's existential personalism, ecumenism, and metaphysics. He was also an accomplished mountaineer and alpinist.
