The 1926 Sigmund Romberg/Oscar Hammerstein 11 musical adventure has a special place in Warner Bros. History: The studio made three versions, of which this 1953 edition is the last and most lavish. MacRae is the roguish Riff leader - and master of disguise - El Khobar, and Grayson is the reckless French beauty Margot, eventual lovers whose final embrace is preceded by a spectacle packed with hard-riding screen action and soaring melodies.
