The Death of Nnanji: Epic Fantasy Adventure

The Death of Nnanji by Dave Duncan delivers an epic fantasy conclusion where a hard-won peace shatters after fifteen years. Swordsmen of the Tryst of Casr have maintained order across half the world, but sorcerers have begun killing swordsmen again, aided by traitorous swordsmen from within their own ranks.

A World on the Brink of War

Shonsu, formerly Wallie Smith before becoming a seventh-rank swordsman and liege lord of the Tryst, must take up the seventh sword of Chioxin once more. The war he hoped would never come has arrived, forcing him to lead his army into battle against sorcerous forces that threaten to undo years of peace and law. The story follows the army's two most junior members: Vixini, son of Shonsu, and Addis, son of Nnanji, who carries an oath of vengeance. Their success or failure will determine the fate of the world for the next thousand years, making this battle more than just another conflict—it's a fight for civilization itself.
