She has her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from St Louis University, and a Master's Degree in Deaf Education from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband, Tom, her two daughters Abby and Katie and her dogs Millie and Clover.Les the Leprechaun was born over 20 years ago, when Maureen was looking for St. Patrick's Day stories to share with her students.
