Amy Larrabee Cotz is a fellow in the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies at American University. An editor of volumes 8 to 12 of The Dolley Madison Digital Edition, she earlier researched the lives of enslaved Black Americans at the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and the Montpelier Foundation.
