About Neil Simon
Since 1960, a Broadway season without a Neil Simon comedy or musical has been a rare one. His career began in television, writing The Phil Silvers Show and Sid Caesar's Your Show of Shows. He went on to write numerous Broadway hits including Brighton Beach Memoirs, Biloxi Blues, and Lost in Yonkers, which earned him the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize in 1991. He also wrote screen adaptations of many of his plays and original screenplays including The Goodbye Girl and The Heartbreak Kid. Neil Simon died in 2018, leaving behind an unparalleled legacy in American theater.
