Fantasy Graphic Novel: The City on the Other Side

The City on the Other Side follows Isabel, a sheltered young girl from high society who discovers a magical world hidden within San Francisco. When she breaches an invisible barrier, she enters a dangerous fairy realm where the Seelie and Unseelie Courts wage war against each other.

Story Overview

Isabel has always been the perfectly proper little girl—quiet, well-behaved, and spotlessly clean. Adventures are not part of her carefully controlled world. But everything changes when she steps through an invisible barrier into a city that mirrors her own, yet pulses with magic and danger.

In this parallel San Francisco, war rages between two fairy kingdoms. Armed with a magical necklace and joined by unexpected allies, Isabel becomes the unlikely key to ending the conflict before it destroys both the fairy world and her own reality. Set in early twentieth century San Francisco, this full-color graphic novel blends historical fantasy with fairy mythology.
