A letter and a long journey. Truth that could tear them apart ...
Betrayed and alone, Rena Beckwith boards a train west, clinging to nothing but a letter and a sliver of hope. She doesn't know what to expect when she arrives in the windswept Montana town, but she's grateful for the warmth and hospitality of Samuel Farley, the new district school superintendent, who gives her shelter when she has nowhere to go. His quiet strength and kindness soon begin to heal her wounded heart and stir dreams she thought she'd lost forever.
Samuel begins to set the schools in order, but his investigation uncovers troubling secrets, and someone is determined to keep them buried. Rena's capable assistance comes at just the right time, and the more he works beside her, the more he's drawn to her gentle heart and caring ways.
As danger closes in, Samuel faces an impossible choice: walk away to keep them both safe, or risk everything for the truth. Either way, it could cost him the woman who has become his future.
The Christmas Letter is Book 1 in the Christmas Train series. It is clean and wholesome with no swearing, steamy scenes, or violence. It contains brief references to the faith of the characters, and may be read as a standalone, but it is best enjoyed as part of the series.

Kaitlynn Clarkson is a debut author who dreamed of spending her days writing ever since she was a little girl when she would get into trouble for reading instead of doing her chores. Now that her dream has become a reality, she loves every moment she spends at her keyboard. She enjoys writing sweet, clean, and/or Christian stories that make people feel good.
When she's not dreaming up new adventures for her characters, Kaitlynn is dealing with the real world. This includes life on a farm on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, where she lives with her husband and two children. She loves to play the piano and trombone in her spare time and thinks that there's never enough time to read all the books she wants to!
