He and Laurie, his wife of thirty-seven years, have eight children and seventeen grandchildren. Dr. John B. Aker received his Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and later earned his Doctor of Ministry. He served as a US Army Chaplain, and has pastored churches in Vermont, New Jersey, Illinois, and Arizona. He has contributed several articles to various periodicals.
