In the Cat Kid Comic Club, Li'l Petey, Flippy, and Molly help twenty-one spirited, funny, and talented baby frogs learn to express themselves through comics. The adventures unwind with mishaps and hilarity as the creative baby frogs experience the mistakes and progress that come with practice and persistence.
The Cat Kid Comic Club Collection includes the first, second, and third graphic novels in the Cat Kid Comic Club series: Cat Kid Comic Club, Cat Kid Comic Club: Perspectives, and Cat Kid Comic Club: On Purpose. Author and illustrator Dav Pilkey breaks new ground, using a variety of artistic techniques and media -- including acrylic paints, colored pencils, Japanese calligraphy, photography, collage, gouache, and watercolors -- to bridge the storylines and portray the frogs' perspectives and purpose. "Squid Kid and Katydid," "Baby Frog Squad," "Monster Cheese Sandwich," "The Under Werewolves," and "Skelopup" are just a few of the mini-comics featured in this three-book extravaganza.
And don't forget Dav Pilkey's other worldwide bestselling series: Dog Man and Captain Underpants!
When Dav Pilkey was a kid, he was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia. Dav was so disruptive in class that his teachers made him sit out in the hallway every day. Luckily, Dav loved to draw and make up stories. He spent his time in the hallway creating his own original comic books -- the very first adventures of Dog Man and Captain Underpants. In the second grade, Dav's teacher ripped up his comics and told him he couldn't spend the rest of his life making silly books. Fortunately, Dav was not a very good listener.
