Angel Cotton's eighteenth birthday was supposed to be a milestone of new beginnings. Instead, it becomes a nightmare when a targeted drive-by shooting claims her father's life and leaves her and her boyfriend, Dan, fighting for survival . Haunted by a mysterious vision of being chosen as a "living, avenging angel," Angel is propelled into a world of danger she never imagined.

Trading her childhood for a badge, Angel goes undercover to dismantle a ruthless human trafficking and drug syndicate . But as she infiltrates the Wood Duck Lodge and comes face-to-face with the men who destroyed her family, the line between justice and cold-blooded revenge blurs. In this gripping sequel, Angel must decide how much she will sacrifice to satisfy the need for vengeance.

"I'm going to keep pushing, Dad. But how long will it be before I push through the pain of losing you?"

Franklin, Tony C.: -

Tony C. Franklin was born and raised in the Southeast Arkansas town of Hamburg. He grew up on a small farm one-half mile from the Arkansas/Louisiana state line. One set of grandparents lived in the Delta town of Wilmot, Arkansas; the other set lived on Hopkins Hill, west of Jones, Louisiana, and the renowned Bayou Bartholomew. Tony tries to pay homage to the South he remembers growing up in.

He currently resides in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is a poet who also writes fictional "grit lit" and "southern noir" short stories and creative non-fiction stories. He is currently working on his second novel.
