The Borderland In The Civil War - Paperback

""The Borderland in the Civil War"" is a historical non-fiction book written by Edward Conrad Smith. This book delves into the impact of the American Civil War on the border states of Kentucky, Missouri, and Maryland. These states were unique because they were located between the North and South, and their residents were divided in their loyalties towards the Union and Confederacy. The author analyzes the political, social, and economic factors that contributed to this division, and how it affected the outcome of the war. Smith also explores the military campaigns and battles that took place in these states, such as the Battle of Antietam and the Battle of Wilson's Creek. The book provides a comprehensive overview of the border states' role in the Civil War and sheds light on the complex issues that arose during this tumultuous time in American history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
