Four stories across hundreds of years...
Jeth's mother is dead. His home will be taken from him. He's not going to wait around for that to happen. Fleeing into the night with only what he can carry and a stolen crystal ball, Jeth evades his neighbors, struggles with his fledgling powers...and accidentally makes a bargain with a faerie.
The faerie Aneirin changes everything when he ensnares Jeth. Unable to escape, Jeth learns the harsh truth. He's not just the son of a witch, he's the son of a faerie, too-and Aneirin is taking him 'home.' His father's kind is cruel, full of tricks and bad bargains, and Jeth wants nothing to do with them. More than that, he wants to protect humanity from the dark ways of the fae - and who better to face them than one of their own?
Jeth's one man war takes him under hills, into castles, and everywhere in between. But his vast powers and his endless years take their toll, pulling him further and further from humanity. Trapped between two worlds, Jeth must decide: which side is he really on?
This omnibus is a complete series of four novellas, and is the first foray into Hallanor by queer author October K Santerelli.
