The Alpenhaus: Where Lost Dreams Awaken - Book One - Paperback

A Father's Control. Forbidden Love. One Woman's Rebellion.

In 19th-century Switzerland, where religious tradition and family honor rule every decision. Amalia is expected to obey her devout father. From an early age, she learns that lying is easier than reasoning with him-yet small secrets snowball into larger ones until she's caught between her father's expectations and her own will.

When Amalia falls for Peter-a rising young artist with dreams beyond his station-their love becomes all-consuming. Her father calls him "an itinerant portrait artist," unfit to provide for his daughter. Yet in Peter's presence, Amalia glimpses a life of freedom she's never dared to imagine.

Forced to suppress her desires and accept her father's will, Amalia disobeys-first in silence, then in secrecy-until she's ready to leave behind everything she knows to follow the man of her dreams. But when their love is discovered, the consequences are devastating, shattering her heart, and changing her life forever.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps, The Alpenhaus is a richly layered story of longing, sacrifice, and the courage it takes to claim your own future.

Inspired by the true-life romance of Southern Oregon pioneers Peter Britt and Amalia Grob, The Alpenhausis is book one in the Where Lost Dreams Awaken series.
