To exist is a gift disguised as a curse. We are given consciousness, but a lack of clarity. We are born curious, but encouraged to conform. The paradox of living ensures that to experience profound joy, we must also experience deep sorrow. These conflicting notions often culminate in a loss of identity accompanied by self-destructive tendencies. Teardrops & Gasoline is the poetic documentation of my personal journey from self-destruction to self-love; an artistic exploration of mental illness, traumatic experiences, versatile perspectives, recovery, and healing. This collection of poetry serves as a reminder that reality can be changed by choosing resilience.
