Are you ready for a slice of murder?Bookstore and pie shop owner Bertha Hannah has decided to take a break from her usual dessert pies and try something new. She has her sights set on baking up a savory pie to bring in the brunch crowd, but has no idea where to start. When she learns about a local class that teaches about cooking with wild herbs and spices, she signs right up--hoping to get some good ideas for the shop. Unfortunately, things don't always go as planned. Between a grumpy boyfriend, an annoying classmate, and a teacher who is more than a bit off-putting, Bert wonders if she'll even be able to finish the coursework at all. In a horrifying turn of events, Bert's teacher is found dead. Police declare it an accident, but Bert is convinced that there's something decidedly fishy going on.
