Tachi uchi no kurai is an essential part to any kenjutsu practitioner's library, and is a partner book to Tachi uchi no kata.
Tachi uchi no kurai is the original set of 10 kata, reputed to have been introduced by Hasegawa Chikaranosuke Hidenobu (also called the Hasegawa koden tachi uchi no kurai), and which shares some of the same movements as Tachi uchi no kata but at a more advanced level.
Tachi uchi no kurai, is an advanced set of kenjutsu forms and needs to be approached with care and regard for fellow students as it contains movements, and bokuto usage, that requires extreme care in its performance.
All these forms require a certain level of sword control and a basic understanding of seme, tame and zanshin.
