Catalano, Joanna: - Joanna Catalano is an architecture student at Pratt Institute, currently in the third year of the program. She loves the balance between math and art that the program offers. Art has always been a significant part of her life, providing countless opportunities such as painting murals for her high school and her Girl Scout Gold Award, and now illustrating a full book. She is always excited to take on creative projects like these and looks forward to many more as she continues creating for years to come.Bretscher, Lauren: - Lauren was born and raised in New Jersey, and currently resides in New York with her husband, fraternal twins and two pups! She has over 15 years experience in Marketing, Sales, Project Management, Communications and Strategic Planning. Lauren's passion for the disability community stems from her uncle, Robert, and her niece, Rhea.Lagonigro, Taryn D.: - Taryn Lagonigro's life changed in 2019 when she learned the baby she was carrying would be born with Down syndrome. A longtime storyteller and passionate individual, Taryn knew she wanted to be a part of making change. As a mother of four daughters, corporate leader and yoga and meditation instructor, Taryn combined her unique skills into the brands she co-owns, Iris Yoga and Extra Lucky Moms, and also founded Four Clovers Publishing. The goal of all of these organizations is to nurture individuals, create inclusive spaces and amplify voices. She has authored and published multiple works, including Ups, Downs and Silver Linings and Dear Mama: Stories of an Extra Lucky Life. launched The Extra Lucky Podcast, and frequently appears in national media discussing disability, parenting and the transformative effects of yoga & meditation. Honored with the 2024 National Down Syndrome Congress Social Media Award, Taryn collaborates in a variety of ways to craft authentic, engaging narratives, leveraging her unique blend of skills as a storyteller, wellness instructor, and disability advocate.
