Godfrey, John: - John Godfrey was born in Sri Lanka. He attended the University of Ceylon in Colombo where he qualified as a doctor. He came to England for higher surgical training where he worked as a surgeon in Liverpool. Due to the political Climate in Sri Lanka he decided to stay in England as a general practitioner. His interest in photography started when he was a schoolboy. While waiting for his GCSE result, he worked in a photographic studio learning the technique of portrait, wedding photography, processing, printing, enlarging and retouching. He has continued his interest in photography. His special interest is street photography and landscape photography. His interests are activities photography, travelling and socialising. His special skills are photography and computers. Although he has many scientific articles in journals this is his first book. John is married with two children. He is retired.
