Growing up in poverty as the only child of a single mother, Loyd had the odds stacked against him. With no father figure or strong male role model, Loyd was forced to figure out life on his own. Fortune smiled upon him when he made the decision to join the US Army. During his time in the Army, he flourished, serving in a variety of roles, most notably as a paratrooper in the 5th Special Forces Group (A) and the renowned 101st Airborne Division. It was here that Loyd received a graduate-level education in leadership.

After leaving the Army, Loyd sought his next challenge by enrolling in graduate school at Florida State University. There, he earned his MBA and promptly joined the esteemed global consulting firm Accenture. During his tenure at Accenture and other consulting practices, he cultivated a deep understanding of sales, delivery, small and large team building, as well as interpersonal relationships and communication.

"Never satisfied" is the best phrase to aptly characterize Loyd's mindset. Whether achieving his black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or participating in the 'Escape from Alcatraz' swim, Loyd constantly seeks personal growth. Scuba diving and skydiving are also among his cherished passions.
