Stagecoach reimagines the John Ford classic with a cast unlike any other: Johnny Cash (Murder in Coweta County, North & South), the legendary "Man in Black" immortalized in song and subject of the Oscar-winning biopic Walk the Line, Willie Nelson (Honeysuckle Rose, The Electric Horseman, Barbarosa), Kris Kristofferson (A Star Is Born, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, Convoy), and Waylon Jennings (Nashville Rebel, The Dukes of Hazzard, Maverick) - country music's legendary Highwaymen - riding together for the first and only time on screen. This made-for-TV Western follows a mismatched band of passengers rattling through Apache territory, where danger, betrayal, and redemption wait around every bend. Directed by Ted Post (Hang 'Em High, Magnum Force, Beneath the Planet of the Apes), the film blends classic frontier grit with the outlaw charisma of four music icons who lived as boldly as the characters they portray. Supporting performances deepen the journey: June Carter Cash (The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James, The Apostle) brings resilience; Elizabeth Ashley (Happiness, The Carpetbaggers, Evening Shade) adds complexity; and Anthony Newley (Doctor Dolittle, Can Hieronymus Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness?, Oliver Twist) delivers dramatic weight.
