Spirits - Paperback

Synopsis: Spirits is a high-tension supernatural thriller that explores the thinning veil between the subconscious and the physical world. The story follows Peter, a man whose life is systematically dismantled by a series of increasingly visceral nightmares. What begins as a recurring dream of a woman trapped in a mysterious glow soon bleeds into his waking hours through the appearance of cryptic symbols and an unseen, predatory force. As Peter is pulled deeper into this "dark world," he must decipher whether he is a savior or the next victim. It is a story of psychological unraveling, ancient omens, and the terrifying realization that some doors, once opened in sleep, can never be closed in the light of day.

Autobiography: Born and raised in the East, Ed Stauffer moved to the Midwest for a university position, where he worked in academia for forty years. After retirement, he began writing novels as a hobby and for personal enjoyment. Most of the stories he writes are inspired by dreams he has had.
