In the mid-'90s, out couple Malik (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman) and Aaron (Ari Cohen) moved to a small, picturesque town that they hoped would offer more acceptance towards them and Aaron's teen daughter (Jennifer Laporte). Some unseen local elements, however, weren't shy in their hostility-and an increasingly paranoid Malik questioned whether something more unholy than garden-variety bigotry was at work.
