SPD Blue - True Crime: Supervision - Hardcover

This exhilarating underdog anecdote, while eliciting heartfelt emotions, also delivers unexpected humor amidst its suspenseful tales of true crime...

Sixteen years on the force in Central New York pass before Patrick MacKenna, albeit unenthusiastically, follows his close friends into police supervision. As Mac dons his stripes, the weight of responsibility settles in, and he quickly finds himself advising rookie officers and mentoring veterans amidst the hustle of the precinct.

Sergeant MacKenna, even in his new leadership role, hasn't lost his edge for chasing down gun-wielding villains amidst the urban sprawl. He eventually returns as a boss to the Neighborhood Anti-Crime Section, where he'd done his internship as a Town of Camillus Police Officer many years prior.

Ultimately, making lieutenant puts Mac on a different trajectory on the graveyard shift for the department. Personal loss and internal conflict have him questioning his chosen profession when he's put in charge of the Crime Reduction Team.

The hard-charging cops and wily sergeants reinvigorate the twenty-year veteran in his command staff position, but there invariably seems to be one more catastrophe on the horizon. Maybe one too many...

Dennis Patrick Murphy completes his seven-book novel with: SPD Blue - True Crime: Supervision. This magnum opus is the culmination of twenty-six years of formative law enforcement and personal struggle for the author.
