Sonic Underground: The Complete Series (TV Series, TV-Y7)
The back-story for the series is told in the Main Title Vocal. QUEEN ALEENA of Mobius gives birth to triplets: SONIC, SONIA and MANIC. But a seer predicts deadly fate for the young hedgehogs. To protect her children, Aleena separates and gives up the triplets and is now waiting for the right time to reunite them all. Meanwhile, the evil DR. ROBOTNIK has gained control of Mobius, and threatens the population with being “roboticized.” When the triplets grow up they find each other, and scour the land searching for their mother. But Aleena won't allow herself to be found until she's sure that it's safe, that the prophecy won't come true. So Sonic, Sonia and Manic must lead the rebellion against Robotnik as the “Sonic Underground”, a rock and roll band. In each episode, Sonic, Sonia and Manic search for their mother while being pursued by two of Robotnik's bounty hungers, SLEET and DINGO. The young hedgehogs earn medallions representing the instruments they play in the band: Sonic a guitar, Sonia keyboards and Manic the drums. These instruments can also be used as weapons to defend themselves. Their adventures take them all throughout the kingdom of Mobius, and bring them into contact with many different people, both friends and foes.
