How does a career criminal with a propensity for violence turn from living for the devil to evangelizing the streets of Tennessee in the name of Jesus?
"Smokescreens" is Jeremy Caldwell's gripping true life story told in his own words.
Recounting childhood abuse, diagnoses for homicidal and suicidal tendencies, and incarceration from an early age, his story is honest and raw. He explains what led him to join the Gangster Disciples at 12 years old, the violence he used to establish himself as a gangster, and the harsh realities of living in jails and prisons for over 20 years.
Jeremy tells of his lowest point - divorced, addicted, and staring down a 140-year prison sentence - and how God miraculously saved him in a jail cell in Lebanon, Tennessee!
"Smokescreens" details the amazing ministry Jeremy has embarked on, both in prison and since his release. Evangelizing the streets of Tennessee, living a week at a time in his van so he can "suffer with the suffering," Jeremy shares the difficulties and spiritual warfare he has endured while delivering a message of hope and freedom.
Co-written by a former Sheriff's Deputy who worked in the jail when Jeremy turned his life over to Jesus, this biography is ultimately a heartwarming redemption story.
