About the Author Shoshsana Nambi grew up in the Abayudaya Jewish community in the eastern part of Uganda. She is the author of THE VERY BEST SUKKAH: A STORY FROM UGANDA. This book won the National Jewish Book Award and the Sydney Taylor Honor medal in 2022. Shoshana lives with her daughter in California where she is the assistant rabbi at Congregation Beth Am. Moran Yogev is an Israeli illustrator and graphic designer. She graduated with distinction from the Minshar School of Art in Tel Aviv. Moran illustrated Shoshana Nambi's first book, THE VERY BEST SUKKAH: A STORY FROM UGANDA. She lives in Israel with her husband, Nis, sons Adam and Omer, and their lovely dog, Menny.
