Will Sleepy Sloth ever get to sleep? Once upon a time in the middle of a forest, on the highest branch of her family tree, one sleepy sloth is, surprisingly, having trouble falling asleep. Her eyes are wide, her mind is racing, and sleep feels simply impossible.
But maybe with the help of her loving family, Slothy can learn a simple, soothing, step-by-step process to prepare herself beautifully for a good night's sleep.
Inspired by real bedtime routines and created with love and imagination, this heartwarming story gently guides children through calming steps to help them to settle, to let go of their worries, and to soothe their body and mind wonderfully to fall asleep in the calming company of the adorable main character, 'Slothy'.
Sleepy Sloth is a perfect read for winding down, snuggling up, and making bedtime a little easier - for both children and parents alike.
Claire Greenwood is a children's author from Warrington who spent 15 years as a primary school teacher, nurturing her love of children's books. The idea of Sleepy Sloth was born from a bedtime routine with her eldest daughter Paige, who from a young age asked for step-by-step instructions on how to fall asleep. Later, her youngest daughter Ava wanted the same advice, but Claire turned it into a beautiful bedtime story using Ava's cuddly toy 'Slothy', which became a treasured nightly tradition in their home and can now help children everywhere drift into a peaceful sleep.
When she's not writing, Claire enjoys painting and making magical memories at home or on family adventures... also, she enjoys that glorious hour's peace (if she's lucky) with her lovely boyfriend Matt after Sleepy Sloth has worked its magic!
