Here I am in my sixties and widowed. When James and I married in 1989, we thought that we would live together happily after. We had planned to travel the world after retirement. We knew that we were all we needed for each other. We were dealt a fate much worse than death itself. We lived with an incurable disease that tested the vows of our marriage and our love for each other. Thirty-one years later, I am alone with the exception of our daughter. I am so lonely and look for companionship the old-fashioned way and eventually online. There are many women and men who feel that finding a suitable companion to spend quality time with is just around the corner. The reality is that there are people who only want sex without the commitment. So, if you have experienced unsuccessful companionship dating, sit down, get a cup of your favorite drink and read my story... I am a native of the Eastern-Shore of Virginia. I am a Nurse and a mother to a beautiful sixteen-year-old daughter who keeps me young. My nursing career started in 1978 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia at Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, Virginia. In 1981, I moved to Norfolk, Virginia to pursue higher education at Norfolk State University from where I obtained my associate and bachelor's degree in nursing. I worked in the areas of Emergency Room, Critical Care and Military Nursing. I am a veteran and served for twenty-four years in the Reserves and Active Duty. I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a Niece, a friend and all-around good person who has had to live with an unusually cruel hand given to me by life.
