Herbert, Rosemary: - Rosemary Herbert is a writer whose work spans genres. Her poem "Grave Finds" was named "Noteworthy" in the 2024 Coniston Prize competition. Her poetry is published in Tupelo Quarterly, Radar Poetry, The Paddock Review, The Closed Eye Open, and other journals, and in The Last Milkweed: An Autumnal Anthology of Poetry (Tupelo Press) and in Remembering William Butler Yeats (Moonstone Press). She contributed interviews to The Paris Review and Harvard Review, and reviews to The New York Times Book Review, Washington Post, and more. Sisters in Time is her first volume of poems. It is drawn from the strangely intimate and reverent experience of getting to know figures from the distant past-particularly one fourth-century pagan woman-from bones and grave finds the poet unearthed during an archeological dig in a fourth-century, Roman-era cemetery in Winchester, England.
