God is actually rolling the dice with the universe. The 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Physics collects a century of debates and scientific breakthroughs.
This book shares the work by which Alain Aspect won the title of "pioneer of the second quantum revolution." It is also result of his fascination for the history of physics in the last century, which he recounts from the figure of Max Planck and the disputes between Albert Einstein and Neils Bohr about the interpretation of quantum mechanics, to Jon Stewart Bell's studies in the nineteen sixties, finishing with the Nobel Prize Aspect himself received in 2022. If Einstein Had Known portrays the experiments the author conducted on quantum entanglement, the findings of which up till then had only been established through hypothesis, opening new paths to understanding the universe. Because of his genuine efforts to draw us near to contemporary physics, Aspect's book makes us participants of a fascinating dialogue among some of the most brilliant minds in history, all the while inviting us to emancipate from Einstein's vision of the quantum realm.
