Gafke, Ann: - Ann Gafke grew up with dogs and has been training dogs and their people for 60 years. The stories in Miste's book are drawn from these experiences. In her dog school, Ann has mirrored balls, disco lights, strobe lights, black lights and bubble machines in the ceiling and decorated walls featuring Drill Team canine members. Some of her dogs have been in plays, movies, and Hallmark card shoots. They have been print models for Travis Duncan Photography. Their German Shepherd, Scarcity, had her own Christmas Card, Memo Pad, Mouse Pad, and photo insert in a picture frame. Miste starred in a nationwide commercial for Mizzou online classes.
