The characters portrayed come from various backgrounds and different times. All had trials and troubles to combat but each were victorious over them. It was God working in His mysterious and powerful ways to make them great examples and blessings to others. Exactly how this happened makes fascinating and soul-wrenching reading.
These true stories offer a wonderful glimpse into the personal and intimate details of lives that have made a huge impact on the world. Men and women, although imperfect, learned to navigate life despite hardships. I loved reading how these individuals learned to hear the voice of God! Middle graders and up will be inspired as they come along side these sojourners and get a glimpse into their spiritual journeys.

-Ansonia McIntire, Student, Age 15
These inspiring stories remind me that happiness can always be found, even in dark times. You just have to remember to turn on the light.
-Larry McJunkin, Author
In "Seven True Stories to Inspire" Joyce Wold does an amazing job of taking historical facts and weaving a story for young minds to be inspired by faith. I recommend her book for young readers to understand how faith is molded out of fortitude and "true grit" from true life stories.
-Dr. Charlie Barnard, Pastor,

Joyce Wold has a passion for writing inspiring books and magazine articles for kids. "Seven Stories" is her fifth book and the most soul wrenching. Formerly a grammar school and Sunday School teacher with two kids and five grandkids makes her a rock-solid kid fan. Her hobbies include art, music, reading, sewing, and, of course, writing.
