Biddle, Kim: - Kim Biddle is the writer, See Me Beyond the Classroom is her first book. She has always enjoyed reading children's books with her children, grandchild, and her second-grade students. Kim is an educator and has aspired to become an author for many years. Children's books are her passion. Kim has been an educator for 27 years. In the past 15 years, she has been a district office administrator that works with at-risk students. I wanted a book that focused on the reality that social-emotional issues exist in our students, says Kim. It is difficult to educate the whole-child if you do not try to understand your students' social-economic backgrounds and experiences. Born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, in 1964, Kim Biddle received her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Morehead State University, Morehead, Kentucky. Kim has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education. She also received her second Master's degree and a Rank I Certification in School Administration. Upon completing her studies, she was an instructional assistant and taught elementary education for twelve years before becoming an administrator.
