If you're a fan of gritty, epic fantasy, then you will love the writings of highly acclaimed, award winning author Avery Christy,
and this newest addition to the world of his award winning Mountain Lords series:
The Scorpion Knight
Former commoner knight Amos Kern is the only survivor of the Baldy Fortress massacre.
He has traveled to Surigard to pay his respects to the family of a good comrade who died
in that battle. From there he intends to travel to distant Azalon to claim land to run
cattle, hopefully with his brother, Daros.
But he could not anticipate having a traveling
companion, Rolana, who also desires to travel to Azalon to search for her brother, who
left to be a mercenary in the Southern Campaigns but has not been heard from in several
years.
Nor could he anticipate being hunted by a greedy prison warden intent on
killing and robbing him. And never could he anticipate Daros, working as a soldier
for a local lord, becoming embroiled in the rising violence that will lead to the
War of Three Crowns.
If ever there was a time to get away to Azalon, this is it, but Amos may be too late as
he and his companions are pulled in as battle lines are drawn. Will they
escape the coming war or will their dreams of family and a new home be lost?
