Casi como un ensueño. Como un homenaje. Como un testimonio a las cientos de miles de víctimas. Como un acto de amor. Como advierto que es trágico que alguien dedique la vida a contemplar a unos perros correr por el bosque. Viendo a esos canes el autor seguro rememora la prueba por la que debió atravesar su propia madre. Al regresar a su ciudad de origen hubo de mostrar a los suyos que el hijo que ofrecía era víctima de un síndrome particular. Esa criatura se trataba de un ser deforme. Almost like a dream. Like a tribute. Like a testimony to the hundreds of thousands of victims. Like an act of love. As I warn that it is tragic for someone to devote their life to watching dogs run through the woods. Seeing those dogs, the author surely recalls the ordeal his own mother had to go through. Upon returning to his hometown, he had to show his family that the son he was offering was a victim of a particular syndrome. That child was a deformed being. Could it be the same mother that the character in Beauty Salon left abandoned in the hospital? That is mentioned in one of its pages. --Mario Bellatin
