"Rrrrh!" means "Let's be friends" in tiger talk, but the other animals don't understand him and run away! Maybe the gentle "rum-pum-pum" of the drum can help him.

A Heartwarming Story About Friendship and Communication

Rum Pum Pum tells the touching tale of a lonely tiger who struggles to make friends because the other animals don't understand his language. When he discovers a drum and begins to play it, something magical happens. The rhythmic "rum-pum-pum" becomes a universal language that brings animals together.

The lonely tiger finds a drum and strikes it with his tail. Soon, friends start to follow: a monkey who says "chee-chee-chee" (which means "I will come too" in monkey talk), a rhino who says "ouggh," a parrot that says "scree-awk," a chameleon, an elephant, and eventually a child who is now reunited with the drum he lost. Because of the drum, the tiger is no longer lonely and friendless.

Perfect for Story Time and Read-Alouds

This hardcover picture book features fun animal sounds that make it an engaging read-aloud experience for children ages 4-8. The interactive nature of the story encourages participation and helps young readers understand themes of friendship, communication, and the universal language of music.
