Taking inspiration from the immortal style of the Italian Renaissance, Severino Baraldi presents a whimsical and unique deck of anthropomorphized animals. Although reminiscent of the Visconti-Sforza tradition, this limited-edition deck includes a fully illustrated minor arcana to add visual substance to your readings. The beast-headed nobility depicted in these cards gives an alternative twist to a timeless piece of tarot iconography.
Severino Baraldi (Italy) was a prolific and award-winning artist who illustrated everything from holy scriptures to fairy tales. Baraldi's success was not only with the public but also with critics: he was one of the great illustrators, together with Achille Beltrame and Walter Molino. In 1981, in Tokyo, he was awarded the Shogakukan Prize. From 1985 to the summer of 2022, he drew the column "Fatti del giorno" of the weekly Famiglia cristiana. In 1994, Fratelli Fabbri publishers commissioned him to illustrate the Bible edited by Monsignor Gianfranco Ravasi. He was the illustrator of the Panda Tarot, Tarot of White Cats, and many others.
