Right Livelihood: The Twelve Ethics of Work - Paperback

In Right Livelihood, a young man learns from his beloved Uncle the ethics of right livelihood. The young man learns how to work in accord with what his Uncle calls human logic, the logic by which we educate, mature and enlighten ourselves. To work in accord with human logic, contends the Uncle, is to serve both the workplace and the individual over the long run.

Economist E.F. Schumacher said that work exists for the refinement of character. Right Livelihood presents twelve ethics that together constitute an elaborated work ethic. When embraced, these ethics further the refinement character while also furthering effective and creative involvement with the organization or workplace.

This small book is ideal for high school seniors, college and university students, organizational development specialists, human resource personnel and others interested in how best to operate in the workplace. Lest there be any confusion, however, the ethics discussed in Right Livelihood are not only for those about to enter the world of work, but also for those well established in their work life.
