Review and Pretest for NCCAOM and California Exams in Biomedicine - Paperback

This book is intended to aid students preparing for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in the Biomedicine module and California Acupuncture Licensing Examination. It is a concise review of Biomedicine and is intended to help students recall material taught during the study at Acupuncture schools. It is not intended to substitute any of the comprehensive textbooks.

The material is organized and divided into eleven chapters and two appendices. The book covers Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Gastrointestinal, Endocrine, Reproductive, Urinary, Nervous/Musculoskeletal system, Hematology, Dermatological conditions, Psychiatry/Addiction, and Clean Needle Technique. The knowledge points are summarized by words, clearly and concisely, with appropriate charts or pictures attached. Numerous practice questions reflecting the content and format of the NCCAOM exam in the Biomedicine module are included after each chapter. Seven full-length practice exams are in the second appendix. These questions can be used as a pretest to identify areas of weakness or as a post-test to determine mastery.
