Relics of the City - Paperback

Five months have passed since the explosion in the Saints District took the lives of all the missing girls Ash had set out to save. Now, with victims and perpetrators alike dead and gone, all the evidence burned or buried, Ash latches on to a new mystery: the origin of the powerful objects known as Relics, once believed to be gifts given by a living Saint. Their investigations lead them through the annual Relics Auction and eventually to a mysterious market - but as they tread closer to the truth, will they have the strength to unearth it, or will those who seek to keep it buried succeed?

On top of her studies, her strict father, and Ash's absence, Lina is left alone to deal with the aftermath of her abduction and the lives she had unwittingly taken to free both herself and Ash from a fate worse than death. Desperate to learn the truth of her dangerous new power, she journeys back to the Syndicate District, where she comes face to face once more with Ash.

Reunited at last, Ash, Lina, and their friends discover yet another conspiracy rooted in the city of false idols. With powerful enemies on their trail, a mysterious Relic in their possession, and the fresh wounds of betrayal, Ash and Lina must fight to expose the atrocities they have found themselves dangerously close to.
