Raul and the Iguana is a bilingual, English-Spanish illustrated children's book. The story, partly based on an actual event, takes place in tropical Panama City, Republic of Panama. In the story, a wayward iguana enters the apartment where the boy Raul lives with his family. The iguana causes a great commotion and after capturing it, Raul decides to keep it as a pet in a cage. Raul realizes that the iguana is not happy and decides to do the right thing. He and his family drive into the tropical forest and release the iguana into the wild.
