About the Author
Lulu Delacre, a three-time Pura Belpré Award honoree, is the illustrator of numerous award-winning books, several of which she also wrote or compiled. Her books range from picture books to chapter books to YA novels. Delacre was born and grew up in Puerto Rico, where she loved to draw pictures, catch lizards, and listen to the song of the coquÃes, tiny tree frogs. Her childhood experiences were the inspiration for Rafi and Rosi and their adventures. Delacre and her husband live in Silver Spring, Maryland.
