Every Muslim should have a complete understanding of his religion. The most important source of religious awareness and faith education of the people is the Holy Quran. Sermons, speeches, statements, reform books are all useful in their own place, but none of them can replace the Quran. Whether the Holy Quran is read aloud, memorized or read through translation and commentary, each method has its own importance and its own reward. In every era, the need and importance of a suitable and appropriate translation of the Quran has been felt and translators have paid special attention to fulfilling this duty, hence it has been translated in almost all languages by various scholars around the globe. The present Urdu translation is by a lesser known Pakistani scholar, Meer Mohammed Ishaq. It is a marvellous work that depicts a good grip on the topics of the Quran by the author and collected and compiled by Aijaz Ubaid.

ہر مسلمان کو اپنے دین کی پوری سمجھ بوجھ ہونی چاہیے۔ عوام کی دینی آگہی اور ایمانی تربیت کا سب سے اہم ذریعہ قرآن مجید ہے۔ وعظ، تقریریں، بیانات، اصلاحی کتابیں سب اپنی جگہ مفید ہیں لیکن ان میں سے کوئی چیز قرآن کا بدل نہیں ہو سکتی ہے۔ قرآن کریم کو ناظرہ پڑھا جائے، حفظ کیا جائے یا ترجمے اور تفسیر سے پڑھا جائے ہر طریقے کی اپنی اہمیت اور اپنا اپنا اجر ہے۔ ہر دور میں قرآن کے موزوں و مناسب ترجمے کی ضرورت و اہمیت محسوس کی گئی ہے اور مترجمین نے اس فریضہ کے ادائی کی طرف خصوصی دھیان دیا ہے۔ قرآن کا یہ اردو ترجمہ میر محمد اسحاق نے کیا ہے اور چار جِلدوں کے ذریعے پیش کیا جا رہا ہے۔
