Quote the Endling - Paperback

Velda Brotherton turns Cedarton upside down in her epic final Twist of Poe Mystery... QUOTE THE ENDLING.

Misconceptions of the past can twist perceptions of love, greed, and deception. Unusual excitement erupts in the little town of Cedarton when tiger thieves strike a nearby farm for exotic animals. To further distress lawmen and residents alike, rumor has it that someone is opening a pub downtown... smack in the middle of a county that's been bone Baptist dry for as long as anyone can remember.

These small upheavals are forgotten when Loren, the newspaper owner's lover, is found murdered. She turns out to be a woman who was closely tied to Deputy Sheriff Dallas Starr's dead wife, Leanne. Stranger occurrences follow, dragging Dal back to Texas to investigate the murder. There he learns the truth about his wife's death and how it threatens the citizens of Cedarton. All the while, reporter Jessie Stone follows a convoluted trail of clues to get to the bottom of what's happening in town, only to get caught up in more than she may be able handle. Will Dal be able to put all the pieces together before the same thing that happened to his wife happens to his beloved Jessie, too?
