Pygmalion - Paperback

Pygmalion is a play about a phonetics professor, Henry Higgins, who makes a bet that he can transform Eliza Doolittle, a poor flower girl with a strong Cockney accent, into a refined lady who can pass for a duchess at an upper-class party. With the help of Colonel Pickering, Higgins teaches Eliza proper speech and etiquette. As Eliza grows more independent and confident, tensions rise between her and Higgins.
