Kathy Newman Borba M.A. has been writing since she was in high school. The subject of The Psychological Wheelchair has reoccurred over and over in her head for years. Kathy is both an author and artist.

She also writes children's stories and illustrates her own books. She has published both fiction and non-fiction books including: The Cuddlebugs and Could You Be Scammed?

Kathy has a master degree in clinical psychology and is attending Liberty University to earn a second Master's in Divinity. Her goal is to write more self-help, inspirational books and minister for the Lord through her writing and illustrations. Her hopes are to glorify the Lord. She is a single parent of one son, Cory Borba, who is her best Master piece.
The Psychological Wheelchair is not just another story about child abuse although that is a part of what the story is about. It's not just another story about how the Lord intervened in someone's life although He did and He was there through it all. He was forever present and turned everything around for the good for Kathy who loved Him.

The book demonstrates how a parent can inflict physical harm to their child without even laying one finger on them. Yes, psychosomatic ailments have been known for years but this particular ailment is very unusual. Kathy Smith, the author, didn't know the ailment existed until she stumbled across it in her studies while doing research in psychology while working toward her master's degree at Saybrook University. At first, she didn't believe it. Then she realized it was not only true but also applicable to her own experience and life journey.
